Chilled Display Fridges

When it comes to choosing an industrial refrigerator, you'll have to decide whether you want an upright fridge or an under counter fridge.

Commercial Freezers and Refrigerators

  • Upright fridges are the most popular choice as they come in a variety of styles and sizes, from slim models for restricted spaces through to cavernous models, which are perfect for establishments that require storage for a large volume of chilled foodstuffs and ingredients, but don't have a cool room.

  • Many kitchens prefer to opt for under counter or prep fridges, a type of commercial refrigerator that provides both under counter storage and a workstation for Food Preparation.

Restaurant Refrigeration Equipment

  • If you need to store frozen foods, a commercial chest freezer and upright commercial freezers is a great option. These have the capacity to store a large quantity of frozen goods, and often offer a 'quick-freeze' mode for those times when you need to freeze a quantity of food quickly.

  • And, if you regularly freeze large quantities of food quickly, choosing a blast chiller offers a systematic and safe way to cool food while minimising the growth of bacteria and preserving the quality of food.

  • Alternatively, you may want to choose a shock freezer, which has the ability to freeze down to -40oF and chill your food in under two hours for ultra-fast freezing.

  • Certainly a commercial fridge freezer is a must in any food establishment if you want to meet health and safety regulations.

  • For front of house refrigeration, you may want to consider a display fridge or glass door refrigerator. These allow your customers to see exactly what's on offer, whether you're displaying pastries, cakes and desserts or a selection of drinks.

  • If you do sell drinks, you may want to consider purchasing a beverage cooler, which allows you display a range of soft or alcoholic drinks while keeping them at the correct temperature. When choosing a glass front refrigerator, always ensure that opening the doors isn't going to interfere with the movements of your staff. If this is a problem, consider purchasing a unit with sliding doors.
